A Review:
In our last post we learned several important points:
1. Yahshua was appointed Creator by virtue of His willingness to sacrifice Himself.
2. The title of Creator was his right by virtue of His divine nature; however,
3. It pleased the Father to confer it upon Him as being the active Agent in the enterprise of Creation; for:
4. Yahshua was appointed heir of all
things because He was appointed Creator of all things, because He was to
be the Redeemer of all things.
The points above are made simply as a review. If you've not read our
previous post we invite you to do so before moving into this study.
Now we wish to share more on the topic of 'The Counsel Of Peace' (Zec.6:13)
We presented 7 verses of Scripture in our previous post which we will now consider along with several others, as we develop the following thoughts. (All Scripture references are from the KJV.)
A. In Ps. 33:11 it says, " The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.
B. But we speak the wisdom of Elohim [the wisdom of Elohim=Yashua &the plan of Redemption. See 1Cor.1:30] in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which Elohim ordained before the world unto our glory:.....Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Messiah Yahshua before the world began, ....[It is] the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings [is] to search out a matter. 1Cor.2:7; (2Tim.1:9) (Prov.25:2)
C. Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me [to] glory.(Ps.73:24)
D. With him [is] wisdom and strength, he hath counsel and understanding.(Job.12:13)
E. [Every] purpose is established by counsel: and with good advice make war. (Prov.20:18)
F. And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and
understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge
and of the fear of the LORD;(Isa.11:2)
G. O LORD, thou [art] my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name;
for thou hast done wonderful [things; thy] counsels of old [are]
faithfulness [and] truth.(Isa.25:1)
From the above text we establish the following:
A. YHWH'S (God's) counsel stands for ever; and It concerns ALL generations.
B. YHWH'S counsel [The Plan of Redemption] was ordained/ hidden or concealed before the world began.
C. YHWH'S counsel would be guidance to Yahshua (Jesus) while on earth.
D. YHWH'S counsel IS Wisdom, Strength, and Understanding.
E. YHWH'S purpose of Redemption was established by Counsel.
F. YHWH'S counsel was revealed in Yahshua Messiah.
G. YHWH'S counsels are "of old" they are "faithfulness and truth.
To the seven foundation pillars of this study we wish to build the following:
1. The Plan of Redemption resulted from "the counsel of peace" before the foundations of the world were placed. Rev.13:8;Eph.3:9;Col.1:26.
Thus the Counsel of Peace was convened before this world was created.
2. The agenda for the 'Counsel of Peace' was The Plan of Redemption. We know this from the careful consideration of the following: a. It [the Counsel of Peace] was a counsel to restore peace (Ps. 69:4). For it was a counsel concerning peace. We know from Scripture that sin resulted in war bloodshed and death (Rev.12:7-10;Rom5:12;Rom.6:23). So we know the 'Counsel of Peace' was the Master Plan to deal completely and forever the entrance of sin into the Universe; the emerging Crisis!
3. The outcome of the 'Counsel of Peace' include the following:
a) The immutability of The Plan of Redemption;(Heb.6:17) KJV
b) The Redemption of fallen man, (Eph.1:4,5,9,10,11)KJV.
c) The restoration of all things (Mic.4:8;Eph.1:4)
d) The eternal security of the Universe of YHWH.(Nah.1:9)
To secure all these benefits Yahshua volunteered to step down from His high command and clothed Himself with the garments of sackcloth(Ps.69:11) also here; and humbled Himself still further even unto the death of the Cross! (Phil.2:5-9).
4. 'The Counsel of Peace' was then hid from the knowledge of all created beings,even the angelic host; for it was called '....the mystery which from the beginning of the world hath been hid IN GOD (Elohim). (Eph.3:9;Prov.25:2;1Cor. 2:7;Rom.16:25) It (the mystery) The Plan of Redemption was '....kept secret since the world began'. (Rom.16:25)

5. The infinite mind of YHWH contemplated the Plan of Redemption long before creation.
6. Therefore the Counsel of Peace was hid with Elohim from dateless ages in time past.
7. However, with the fall of man; YHWH began to reveal the Great Mystery to the angelic host first; for they were to cooperate with Him in mans restoration. (Heb.1:14; Rev.12:7-10) And as Rev.12:9,10 clearly points out; this revealing to the angels transpired immediately after the casting down of Satan from heaven, the creation of the world and the fall of Man.
In summary, the "Counsel of Peace" stands forever, (it's effects are forever (Ps.33:11), was concealed by YHWH(Prov.25:2), gave guidance to Yahshua while on earth (Ps.73:24), is Infinite in wisdom and strength (Job.12:13), It expressed the purpose of YHWH (Prov.20:18), was manifested in Yahshua Messiah when He was physically on earth (Isa.11:2), It was/is an ancient Counsel (Isa.25:1).

ReplyDeleteShalom Heather and thanks for your comments. From what I gather, YHWH has blessed you with the gift of prayer (a prayer warrior). It is a most needed and special gifting (the spirit of grace and supplication) Zech.12:10. I visited the web site you posted and added it to favs. Yes, I agree with you, let our collective prayers ascend to YHWH that He will move on the young (50%) impressionable hearts of the people of Niger (and the old) that they may see Yahshua in His glorious Word and believe and be saved. And that the physical bread (very much needed) will also be a symbol of the giving of the True bread that came down from Heaven. And that He will send laborers into the fields of ripening grain to harvest.
ReplyDeleteYes, I've also been impressed that I need to sit more at Yahshua's feet and learn of Him. That's been on my mind a lot. If we do not take from Him (His Truth), what do we have to give? There would be no Bread to share with those who are starving. So I commit myself to study and prayer. So you post was an encouragement to that end.

ReplyDeleteA few truths to consider about the mysteries of the Kingdom of God.
The mysteries of Heaven are revealed to those who are chosen of the Lord to receive them. Jesus revealed these mysteries to His apostles and prophets and they were to make these things known to the church or ekklesia, the body of Christ, the called out ones.
Matthew 13:10-11
"And the disciples came and said to Him, “Why do You speak to them in parables?” He answered and said to them, “Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given."
So we learn here that the Lord does not reveal the mysteries of the kingdom to everyone.
We see the evidence of this in the ministry of Paul who the Lord chose as His apostle or delegate to preach the good news of the kingdom to the Gentiles.
Ephesians 3:1-7
"For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for you Gentiles—if indeed you have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which was given to me for you, how that by revelation He made known to me the mystery (as I have briefly written already, by which, when you read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ), which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets: that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ through the gospel, of which I became a minister according to the gift of the grace of God given to me by the effective working of His power."
Also as you quoted Col. 1:26 I'll quote a little more so we can see this truth more plainly.
"the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints. To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily."
We see here that the mystery was hidden but now it has been revealed to the saints of God and the Lord used His apostles and prophets in the 1st century to impart the knowledge and wisdom of God to those who were called out.
The Lord who does not change is doing the same thing today and will save a great multitude of people as the good news of the kingdom of God is preached in all the world as a witness, and by that preaching one is able to be born from above, born of God and the seed of God is planted and birthed in the heart of those who believe the gospel. By the new birth of water and Spirit Christ comes to live in our hearts by His Spirit and we are transformed in the inner man (soul & spirit) into His image. Christ IN YOU the hope of Glory!

Yes, I agree with you that 'The Mystery' which was hid in ages past is now revealed in Yahshua (Jesus)Ha Mashiach and that Mystery which is 'Christ in you the hope of glory' is to be proclaimed far and wide for the purpose of the salvation of souls and the finishing of the Gospel. And I believe that; that Gospel is the everlasting Gospel which, in the context of the Revelation of Yahshua Messiah, brings to view giving glory to YHWH (God), worship the true Elohim, (the Maker of heaven and earth), and the warning against receiving the Mark of the Beast, and to receive, in its place the Seal of the living Elohim (Rev.7;Rev.14).

I’ve been in Ephesians and Romans this morning and have been considering the verse you brought to our attention, Zechariah 6:13. I’m so completely in awe of Him right now. To consider that the High Priest, the Lord Jesus Christ, who is at the right hand of God and Whom shares the counsel of peace with God the Father, would pour out His Spirit on us, His lowly servants, to be strengthened with might in the inner man SO this great High Priest, Christ, may come down and dwell in our hearts through faith and fill us with God’s peace, is a miracle!! I can’t believe this is the life we get to live, brother! Furthermore, He has used this post to encourage me so much. I don’t consider myself to be a prayer warrior, I am just learning the mere edges of His ways in knowing how to pray, but this I know, that our High Priest, Jesus Christ, intercedes for us (Rom 8:26-27, 34) and the Spirit searches my heart and is interceding according to God’s will what I am not able to pray correctly, and if I continue to humble myself and allow the Spirit to lead me in believing prayer, God “is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us” (Eph 3:20), SO He will be glorified in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever! (Eph 3:21). What a wondrous thought! I would praise the Lord if the Spirit burdened more saints to pray (believing He will answer) for the people of Niger! I’m praying that in the turmoil of the famine in West Africa, God’s glory would be shining, through the Church, in Niger. It’s for His glory I ask...for their salvation, physical provision, and edification of the Church – all for His glory! Amen to this post!
ReplyDeleteIt is great to see your heart encouraged in YHWH and the truth of His Word; and that it has been given you to have a burden for souls for whom Yahshua has died. And yes, it is a most precious thought to be a servant of the Most High Elohim; and to be used in His service.
ReplyDeleteEphesians and Romans are great, aren't they? I'm trying to memorize more Scriptures. I reread your post again and thought that yes it is very important to understand that Yahshua's burden is light. Sometimes situations are made to cause one to feel over-burdened. However, we need to stand free in the liberty that we have been called in Yahshua, and not be entangled in burdens that He has not called us to carry.

ReplyDeleteI felt the Spirit move and instruct me as I read the Scripture and Truth posted here. Thank you for sharing. Here is a question the Lord asked me while I was reading. He answered this for me, but I won't say what He said so that perhaps other revelations may come forth from this. Here was the question He asked:
What was the need for the Counsel of Peace? Why did there need to be a Plan of Redemption?

The Counsel of Peace is a Counsel that was convened; not for YHWH'S benefit, for He knows all things. But for all Created intelligences throughout the His vast dominion, that they may be able to relate to Him and His plans for our eternal well being. In other words, He makes it like He does not know the future so He sits in Counsel for us to relate, understand, love, and appreciate Him more. He is very humble in that way. Blessed be His sacred set apart name forever!
